Hello world!

Hi there and welcome! So who am I? Well, I’d say I’m a hard working, fun-loving, and totally typical cancerian. I’ve been a business journalist specialising in energy and environment issues for the last 20 years, but am now also developing my love for photography by doing freelance work and soon to launch a pet portrait sideline called Your Pet Portraits. A photo blog is also on the cards, when I get my act in gear – and no, that’s not me pictured here! It’s my new fella, Ozzie. To find out more about my work just use the menu at the top of this page, which has links to some of my published articles, my photographic portfolio, and details about the editorial services I provide or click here for a quick overview.

I’m passionate about environmental conservation, animal protection, human rights and equality for all and these issues will all crop up in my blogs fairly often I suspect. I can talk politics until the cows come home but just as equally spend an entire evening going mad with some music blasting out, acting like a total idiot to entertain the little folk of this world or, if I’m honest, simply to make myself feel better. It works and everyone should give it a go!

While always the absolute professional in my working life, I will never lose the childlike enthusiasm I have for life. Besides dancing like an idiot or simply taking long walks to pacify the needs of my dog Ozzie, my idea of bliss is wondering around the forests, woods, heaths and beaches of my home county Suffolk, in the UK. Or sitting drinking coffee and just watching the world go by for a few minutes or so.

Meantime, now in my early 40s, I find myself at one of those cross-road/life changing stages. Having reached that point where I’m in need of a sense of serious rejuvenation when it comes to my career and personal life, I’m seeking out new challenges and opportunities that will put my skills and passions to good use. Essentially, I’m working on making sure I wake up with enthusiasm everyday again. No doubt that will happen big time once my divorce comes through! I’ll keep you posted on how things pan out no doubt in these pages.

My parting words to you for now? ALWAYS REMEMBER TO RAGE WITH A SMILE! and ALWAYS BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!
